Nasyr Fisher, 20, was arrested on Tuesday, Nov. 26, the Deal Police Department said in a news release on Sunday, Dec. 1. Officers responded to a home on Lady Bess Drive for a report of a suspected break-in at around 3:34 p.m.
Upon arriving, police located an open rear window and spotted a man inside the residence. Officers entered through the front door, found Fisher hiding in an upstairs bedroom, and took him into custody.
Investigators said Fisher had burglarized a neighboring home. He was also connected to evidence of another burglary in a different jurisdiction, according to police.
Fisher was charged with two counts each of burglary and trespassing, along with single counts of obstruction, criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property. He was held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution to await a court date.
Township of Ocean and Allenhurst police helped Deal officers in the investigation.
